Inside a medical training facility, one of the “Da-Vinci” surgical robots gains autonomy and self-awareness. It starts wandering around the building and discovers a hybrid space where clinical progress blurs with echoes of warfare. Created by the U.S. Army in the 1980s, Da-vinci’s initial purpose was to operate on wounded soldiers in remote battlefields. The film reflects upon the boundary between healing and killing: being a tool of care as well as a posthuman weapon of precision. ​
