Danielle Kaganov (b.1994) is a multidisciplinary artist working in France. Current at Le Fresnoy, France.

Danielle's works are presented through the Media of film, performance, drawing and installation. She uses original and found footage, together with photography and digital fabrication, in order to critically investigate questions about politics, identity, history and culture. Her work deals with the tension between the crude and the constructed. She examines concepts of language, violence, sexuality and nature by obstructing the difference between the real and the staged. Humor is a significant part of the work, as a path to relieve the viewer from the difficult content. As for narrative, it is the foundation on which multiple elements find common ground in Danielle’s work. The narrative is a channel through which structures are taken apart and critically showcased, be it patterns of speech or political alliances. Danielle’s installations are immersive, combining multi-channel videos, performance, found objects, and photographs. In her work, she allows the viewer to both witness the apparatus of the work, and at the same time be lost in its complexity.
