Through slow pace and subtle gestures, “Manuscript for Debris” invites the viewers to enter a surreal mindset. It is a contemplative simmer of hybrid moments between army practices, animal training and virtual reality.
Using simulations creates an increasing distance from the natural, especially in combat situations which include an inevitable encounter with physical pain. How does constant mediation shift our relations to the visceral?
